Looking for a way to get more involved at Elevation? We’re inviting you to join one of our Sunday volunteer teams! Whether you enjoy welcoming people, working behind the scenes, or helping out with kids, there’s a spot for you.

We believe each of us is gifted and an asset to our community. Our team-based approach ensures no one person carries it all, while embracing our vision of Open Hands; Diverse Voices; and Reimagined Church.

  • Benevolence Team:
Our benevolence team serves as stewards of our benevolence funds. This team meets (typically online or through email communication) when a request for financial support is received. There is no regular schedule for this team as requests are reviewed when they are received.
Required Assistance: Urgent need for 3 members

  • Communion Team:
Our Communion Team is responsible for preparing and serving the elements during Communion Sundays, generally held on the first Sunday of the month. This team consists of two roles: Leader and Server. Leaders are in charge of preparing the elements, and servers are needed during the service to hand out the elements. You can be part of both teams, or choose one that suits you.
Required Assistance: 1 additional leader, and 3-4 more servers

  • Hospitality Team:
Our hospitality team helps facilitate warm conversations around our discussion tables in the gym as people enjoy the treats and drinks that are set out. Members of our team set up our coffee and treats on Sunday morning and ensure the gym is tidy when we leave. This team consists of three roles: Set Up, Clean Up and Baking. This team is often called on to assist with special events such as potlucks and picnics.
Required Assistance: Urgent need for 5 people to assist with set up and clean up. Bakers are always needed

  • KidsQuest:
Our KidsQuest volunteers help our children learn about God and the world around them on Sunday mornings. Our kids absolutely love engaging with our leaders which helps anchor them to our church and the knowledge that our community cares for them. We are in need of Lead Teachers who help guide our kids through the lesson as well as helpers to assist with supervision, crafts and other needs that arise.
Required Assistance: We would love to have 4 additional volunteers but there is room for anyone who wants to participate

  • Music & Tech Team:
Our music team helps focus our time together on God and helps create an atmosphere of reflection and adoration. Our talented musicians rotate on a schedule. This is a great opportunity for any musicians to make a huge impact for our community.
Required Assistance: All musicians and vocalists are welcome to reach out to explore joining this team! We are in particular need of bass guitar players right now.
Our Tech team helps keep our service sound and visuals running smoothly and keeps our congregation informed and engaged. This team consists of both sound and visual team members. You don’t have to have previous experience to be an asset to this team.
Required Assistance: 4 people to help run our visuals and sound board.

  • Youth:
Engaging with our Youth is probably one of the most fun ministry teams to be a part of. Our Youth are curious, hilarious, energetic, and ready to learn about Jesus and how to integrate faith into their daily lives. We run both Jr & Sr Youth on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30. Events typically happen at 22 Willow but are occasionally offsite. There is also an opportunity to participate in one off special events such as hockey or baseball games, weekend retreats, and campouts.
On Sunday mornings we also offer a Jr Youth Discussion Group.
Required Assistance: 1 to 2 people to join on Thursday evenings.
Urgent need for 4 people to help lead the Jr Youth Discussion group on Sunday mornings.

  • Welcome Team:
Our welcome team members greet congregants as they are entering the sanctuary and assist with any needs that arise. This team plays a vital role in helping people feel they are welcomed and informed.
Occasionally the welcome team hands out programs and/or assists with the setup of the sanctuary. The welcome team is a great way to get your whole family involved on a Sunday morning.
    Required Assistance: 4 people
